The train was independently developed and manufactured by CRRC and is the first intercity train in China to adopt technologies such as an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and digital twins to provide intelligent solutions.
The new model is an upgraded version of the CINOVA1.0 intercity train, which featured characteristics suited for intercity operations such as fast start and stop times, efficient boarding and disembarking capabilities and a large capacity.
The CINOVA2.0 incorporates these same design qualities while also integrating intelligent technologies like 5G, big data, cloud computing and digital twins.
These intelligent capabilities enable the train to operate with greater carbon and cost efficiencies.
